Powerstown Park racecourse- Located in a very picturesque setting north of the town has been a popular venue for horse racing for more than 100 years, hosting both national hunt and flat meetings throughout the year.
Hillview Tennis & Pitch & Putt Club offers six tennis courts, 18 hole pitch & putt course, two badminton courts and table-tennis facilities all year round.
Clonmel also two excellent 18 hole golf courses, one on the mountain road and the other on the main Fethard road.
Fishing-
Whenever river angling is mentioned one's first thought is inevitably of the River Suir, one of the most renowned fly fishing rivers in Europe. In this region it is a broad 23-30 metre chalk-like stream bearing stocks of wild brown trout averaging 350g with many fish 700g and over.
Scenic Drives-
Surrounded by three mountain ranges, Clonmel has an abundance of scenic drives for visitors to enjoy. They are well signposted and traverse both mountain and flatland through villages and towns.
Forests and Trails-
Within just a few kilometers of Clonmel, you will find yourself in an open forest where there are wonderful walks, nature trails, viewing points, picnic sites and car parking facilities to enable visitors to enjoy a pleasant day amidst our beautiful forests and wildlife.
